On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location.
The SEssion

All images from our sessions are typically ready about two weeks after the session. We will schedule a time for your print consultation in person or over Zoom to go over all of your favorites, pick out your prints, and make any final adjustments! Your gallery will be delivered after your print consultation via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.

Whether you are just not interested in battling the beach environment of wind and sand for your session or just prefer a session mid day our beautiful low country has stunning locations with spanish moss and big shady oak trees that keep from squinty eyes or to much heat!
Mid-Day
Morning beach sessions are favorites for several reasons! Because the sun rises over the Atlantic the sunlight is better, it is typically not as hot or windy as the afternoon and the beaches are much less crowded! For Summer sessions it is a great way to avoid the typical summer afternoon thunderstorm!

The sun rises over the atlantic ocean so if you are looking for the most dramatic setting, sunrise is worth the early alarm. It is also typically less busy, less windy, and it doesn't take away from the rest of the day's plans!

Evening sessions are great because you can easily plan them after a full beach day, wrap up dinner and catch the sunset!

We always love a location that offers variety! From the big oak trees that line the entrance, the big sandy dunes that shield the beach wind, and the gorgeous beach and ocean this spot offers a lot of variety!

The perfect spot if battling wind or sand isn't your thing. Beautiful century old trees with spanish moss arching trees over dirt roads!

The locals call it the "boneyard" a part of the beach where old trees cover the beach offering plenty of dramatic spot.

Weather at the beach changes quickly and often. We will be in touch if the forecast starts looking iffy and guide you with our experience.!
What about the weather?
Beach sessions are beautiful and so special, but the beach does come with its own set of environmental challenges! Sand, wind, water and sun! If it looks to be a particular breezy day we suggest wearing your hair pulled at least half back, braided, or to bring clips and bobby pins to use if need be during the session. We work strategically to usually try to get a few shots of the board walk or before we get to far onto the beach and then continue the session further & further end. Sometimes even ending in the water so you have the more put together shots from the beginning and the more playful natural shots towards the end. The most important thing is to just have fun and relax into the environment and embrace it!
What about the elements
We would love to share our full outfit guide with you, but a few tips for outfits on the beach:
Kick your shoes off and embrace going barefoot
Don't be afraid to add a little color. White & Kakkai are always a beach classic, but you can get lost in the back ground, (Especially those who are more fair toned.) Don't be afraid to add a little color!

For the Littles
When picking outfits we recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

An ordering session is a short hour meeting where we will get together and reveal your photos and help you cull through your favorite images that you want to print. We will help you design your wall art to fit your space perfectly and give you professional advice! Once your photos are chosen they will go through an extra retouching edit! Perfecting them for print! Erasing all stray hairs and distractions!

What
I don't see my job done until your images are off the computer and into your home. That's why all collections include a print credit and every client has a virtual or in-person ordering appointment. Together we will review product options and sizes, album options and wall galleries. At the end of our time together , you can cross "Print Photos" off your list!
Do we include a Print Credit in all of our packages?

You have the digital files... Now what? Where do you print your photos? How do you print photos? Where do you get your art framed? Have no fear that's what the professionals are for! We are here to help! As photographers we have a special professional photo lab that we partner with to ensure the very best quality for your printed portraits. Your photos will be printed on professional grade paper unlike what you get at your local drugstore or discount lab. Our computers are specially calibrated to our a professional photo lab to ensure that your prints display their true color without color cast. The printers use a traditional photographic process involving chemistry and paper with silver hailde. The image is projected onto the paper and exposed during the printing process using lasers and chemistry, giving you a final product with a traditional photographic feel and depth. There is no ink involved in this printing process.

The key to this process is the paper itself, which is treated with a mixture of light-sensitive silver crystals (pretty cool, right). Our printers project your image onto the treated paper causing the silver halide mixture to form your image. For color images, three layers of cyan, magenta, and yellow combine to form a brilliant, full-color print. This process is extremely accurate and reliable, which is why it’s often associated with higher-end professional printing services. . As a bonus, because the image is essentially baked into the paper itself, these prints are both scratch and water resistant.
